The memory modules are provided on a green plate with black passive heatsinks (heatspreader) to get lower temperatures with higher voltages and higher frequencies. And this heatspreader is connected to another heatsink with the integrated heatpipe (HPC means Heat Pipe Conduit). This offers additional cooling, which makes sense with these high memory voltages. Of course this cooling device looks also very nice and is surely an inducement to buy them 😉 Furthermore these modules comes with EPP (Enhanced Performance Profiles) to get reduced latencies and high frequencies on latest generation motherboards with EPP support. Overclocking couldn’t be easier!
