In this review we have tested the Fortis A101 Cooler and measured the temperature results with our test setup. Additionally you can listen to an embedded MP3 fan sound sample of the fan on the respective heatsink.
Name | Fortis Technology A101 |
Size over all L/B/H | +++ 62/62/83 mm The cooler is just as big as the socket ! |
Cooling output | +++ 26,3 CFM (~5000 rpm) |
Noise level |
++ 34,3 dB (A) Very calm if you compare the noise with the big brother A102. Listen to the sound: |
Mounting | +++ Good locked bracket with a bigger slot for a screwdriver and a lever for installation without any tool. The pressure isn’t too high that it’s easy to mount and demount the cooler. |
Cooling results | o 48° C at 1,75 Volt corevoltage and 51° Celsius at 1,90 Volt Vcore. |
General impression |
++ The A 101 have a heavy and thick copper base and alu lamellas. But i’m sure that this cooler could be much more efficience if the alu lamellas would be soldered to the copper base. I think it’s also the reason why this calm fan on the same cooler like A102 doesn’t give much bader results (~ 2°C) as this big brother because the lamellas doesn’t get enough heat from the copper base. May be there’ll come a hard soldered version, soon ? But anyway this combination isn’t very loud and the cooling results are not bad at all. The mounting is easy and the production is good and very robust. This cooler is also fit for using with Peltier Element ! Many thanks to Fortis Technology for their Testsample Pictures … |
