In this review we have tested the Thermaltake Volcano6 CU Cooler and measured the temperature results with our test setup. Additionally you can listen to an embedded MP3 fan sound sample of the fan on the respective heatsink.

| Overall impression | ++ The Thermaltake Volcano 6 comes despite copper core only close to the cheaper Volcano II from their own house. However, the workmanship is much better and with a stronger fan I got much better results. It’s not only the heat transfer from the CPU to the cooler that’s decisive, which is certainly guaranteed by the copper core. But of course also the heat dissipation of the heat sink to the environment and this doesn’t seem to be too high with the factory fan. All in all, the Volcano 6 is more than worth its money, because about 25 € (overclockers) are not much for a powerful cooler 🙂 It is also suitable for Peltier elements !
