Result and general impression …
The Antec DF500 RGB chassis is a stylish enclosure with plenty of space in the front area, which makes the installation of the components very easy.
Nevertheless, there are some points of criticism that depending on the purchase criteria more or less come to the fore. There are no more 5.25″ slots, which have been discarded for design reasons, as with many other PC cases. Furthermore, the breathing option of the LED fans was only possible in one color. Also, the protective film on the front acrylic glass was so unfavorably attached that it was very difficult to remove completely.
The holders of the 3.5″ hard disks are very practical. However, those who attach great importance to several 3.5″ drives will only find room for two 3.5″ HDDs in addition to the four 2.5″ SSD mounts.
All in all, the relatively inexpensive Antec DF500 RGB midi tower is quite fancy to look at and makes it easier to build the PC system with some features, but still shows some weaknesses that Antec could fix in a small update.
