The read and write values are specified with different performance depending on the SSD capacity and the lifetime with different TBW (Total Bytes Written) values depending on the capacity. The smallest T700 1TB SSD is specified with 11700MB/s read performance and 9500MB/s write performance, while the Crucial T700 2TB and 4TB can achieve a higher read performance of up to 12400MB/s and a significantly higher write performance of up to 11800MB/s.
Overall, the possible read and write performance of the 2TB T700 with and without heatsink is thus significantly higher than the 1TB T700 SSD, at least if the system requirements are right for it, but more on that in a moment on the Layout, design and features page.

The Crucial T700 2TB with heatsink (left in the picture) and Crucial T700 1TB without heatsink were packed in an even smaller carton than the Crucial P5, P3, P2 and P1, whereby the SSD carton with the heatsink has of course become much thicker.
The back of the T700 boxes are similar in design except for the hanger. They show by means of a link and QR code how to get to the Welcome page, where you can download data transfer software, instructions and firmware updates. Alternatively, we offer some manual guides to SSD copying in the forum. In addition, the back of the box describes the backwards compatibility from Gen5 to Gen4 and Gen3 along with the possible transfer rates of the PCIe Gen5 SSD compared to PCIe Gen4 (up to 1.8x) and PCIe Gen3 (up to 3.4x). Thus, you should use the T700 SSDs in a PCIe Gen5 slot if possible.
