From August 21 to 25, 2024, gamescom 2024, one of the most important gaming trade fairs in Europe, took place in Cologne. Of course, the OCinside.de team immediately made its way to gamescom again to publish a detailed gamescom 2024 video with our own music and images of new gaming hardware, upcoming games, gaming seats, cosplayers, merch items, retro consoles and quirky vehicles. Games 2024 …

One of the most popular games is Gothic Remake. The new edition of the 2001 cult role-playing game has been brought up to date visually, but the crude humor and gameplay remain. Playing the game has already whetted our appetite for the release. The hype is there for Inzoi from South Korean publisher Krafton. Inzoi is supposed to be a better Sims, according to assurances at the trade fair stand. The cat, the god of the game, is cute and the game doesn’t always take itself too seriously. But whether it really is a better Sims remains to be seen. It didn’t look that way when we played it. The next hype title that seems to be advertised everywhere at the moment is Dune Awakening. Yes, the open world survival MMO comes from the same universe as the movie released in 2021. In the presentation we learn: Heat and sandworms are dangerous. Various player classes are also introduced. Also eagerly awaited by many: Little Nightmares III, which you can play at Gamescom at Bando Namcai. Low and Alone are the two new main characters of the third part. In Reanimal, two siblings explore the dark world, always on the lookout for evil monsters. In the Gamescom demo, they have to escape from a giant spider-like creature: Once by sneaking and twice by running away. Some thrills were there. In Epic Mickey Rebrushed, you paint new paths with Mickey Mouse or clear obstacles out of the way using thinner. In the demo, treasure chests are found and gnomes are freed. The game principle is fun, but it wasn’t really challenging. You can’t play on a PC, but you can build Lego yourself, i.e. with your own hands, at the Lego stand. If you find all the pieces, you can build a tree from Animal Crossing to take home. Thanks to the cooperation with Nintendo, Lego has built some of the Japanese publisher’s classic games out of Lego bricks at Gamescom. Worth seeing.

Hardware 2024 …

The HyperX and Omen showcased the Omen Transcend 14, a stylish, powerful and comparatively slim gaming notebook, as well as a new edition of the Omen 17, which is more affordable than the original 17-inch gaming notebooks. There were also complete PC systems such as the Omen 35 L or Omen 1000W, which look great with lots of bling-bling LEDs on fans, RAM and water cooling. Thanks to the Omen Gaming Hub software, everything can be configured and overclocked in one place. HyperX and Omen are increasingly focusing on custom designs. Keyboards such as the Alloy Rise are not only hot-swappable, but can also be customized a little more to your own wishes with magnetic interchangeable plates in different colors and small magnetic clips for the side. The 3D keycaps with frogs and other creatures are cute, but are not yet available to buy. Furthermore, Philips Evnia presented the 8000 OLED gaming monitor series with up to 360Hz. Also present were the new AOC Agon Pro AG326UD and AG276QZD2 monitors for gaming as well as a portable gaming monitor, which we have already presented on Hardwarespot. JBL presented their new JBL Tour Pro 3 in-ears and other gaming headsets in a very impressive press conference at gamescom 2024. Manufacturers such as be quiet!, Gigabyte, Asus and ASRock were of course not to be missed at gamescom 2024 and ASRock was already able to show us a large selection of upcoming AMD X870 and X870e as well as some ASRock motherboards with Intel Z890 chipset, which will be released soon. For the first time in a long time, there is also an OCF motherboard, specifically the ASRock Taichi OCF. All in all, another great overall package at gamescom 2024 in Cologne!
