The energy consumption of the PC varies depending on the hardware and load. We have listed a few interesting system configurations in the following table. When measuring the consumption of the ASRock X870E Taichi, the motherboard was in the delivery state. The power consumption of the test PC with 2x Crucial 16GB DDR5-4800 memory, Crucial M.2 PCIe Gen3 SSD and Cooler Master 750W 80+ Gold power supply was as follows, depending on the load:

It should be noted that the LED lighting is active ex works even when switched off. On the one hand, this can be annoying, but it also results in unnecessarily high power consumption. The board consumes a full 4.5W when switched off. By deactivating the LEDs, the power consumption can be reduced to 2.5 W when switched off (depending on USB devices and standby). A certain amount of power consumption can never be completely avoided when a PC is switched off. The power supply unit supplies power to the motherboard via the 5VSB line even when switched off, e.g. to enable connected components to be charged via USB or the PC to be switched on via LAN.
