AMD developed the SP5 LGA 6096 socket for its most powerful server processors. The top models of the EPYC 9000 series have up to 128 cores or 256 threads and are specified with a TDP of up to 400W. It is clear that an extremely powerful cooling solution is required to cool such a mega-processor and this is exactly where Arctic comes in, as the new Freezer 4U-SP5 is designed to be even more powerful than the Freezer 4U-M. In the following report, we reveal how Arctic intends to achieve this.

The delivery of the Arctic Freezer 4U-SP5 …
As usual with Arctics server coolers, the Freezer 4U-SP5 comes in a plain cardboard box with a sticker containing the most important product information.
Sturdy cardboard inserts protect the individual components perfectly from external influences and, fortunately, no unnecessary plastic has been used. We would like to see cooler packaging like this more often.
Here we already have the massive cooling tower of the new Freezer 4U-SP5.
The two proprietary 120mm fans are still waiting to be installed.
There are also two tubes with 0.8 grams each of the good MX-6 thermal paste and a screwdriver.
For environmental reasons, Arctic no longer includes printed instructions with its coolers. Instead, there is a QR code on the product sticker that leads to the online installation instructions.
