Headset holder 3D print …
We already mentioned in the video that we were missing a few little things on the table. Firstly, we think a headset holder would be useful if the monitor doesn’t already have a fold-out holder. We designed this in the 3D program so that you can simply attach it anywhere between the glass top and the metal frame.
Depending on the headset weight, however, the design may need to be adjusted slightly, as the holder can slip out with a heavy headset depending on the distance between the tabletops. Or you can redesign it a little by making the retaining lug even longer and briefly unscrewing the glass plate to insert the holder. Then you can still slide the headset holder back and forth on the desired side of the glass plate and achieve the highest possible stability.
This is what the finished printed holder of the first version looks like.
Simply place the headset holder in the desired position.
The headset can now be conveniently hung on the side of the glass table.
Cable holder 3D printing …
What we also miss with the PC table would be at least optionally available cable holders, as proper cabling is particularly useful for moving objects. For this reason, we decided without further ado to design clips that can be attached to the table leg, but can also be released in an emergency if something gets jammed, for example. We also designed the cable opening so that the power cable can be conveniently clamped in. Here, the size could be adapted to the amount of cable and the cable cross-section.
This is what the printed cable holder looks like.
And this is what the fully assembled cable holder looks like, or in our case two holders were useful. Perhaps our designs will encourage the manufacturer to have their own brackets made, which can be included with the table or offered for sale as an option.
Socket strip holder 3D print …
The fact that we only needed one power cable for our test setup was due to the third modification we designed for the table. This is what the printed socket strip holder looks like, which avoids having to run several cables to the floor or to the sockets.
Instead, you simply screw the retaining plate to the socket strip …
… and can then clamp it overhead directly under the glass top, as there are two retaining guides on both sides that fit exactly between the glass top and the metal frame. Now you can plug in the required power supply units, such as the power supply unit for the table or a notebook and/or a monitor, directly under the table and simply run the cables from the multiple socket strip along the table leg to the socket. The cables of the individual devices are best secured with Velcro straps or, if desired, small holders can also be designed for them.
Now we come to the conclusion of the Atlasio SHD Mini test and the Atlasio Dynamic Chair test.
