Test setup and results …
The test system consists of the following components …
CPU | AMD Ryzen 9 5900X Processor |
AMD Mainboard | MSI MAG B550 Tomahawk |
RAM | 2x 16GB Kingston Fury Beast 3200 MHz CL16 |
Case | LianLi O11 Dynamic XL ROG (closed) |
Ambient temperature | approx. 25 °C inside of the case |
Review of the temperature using Prime95 in the latest version 30.3 Build 6, the external ambient temperature was around 22°C. The Prime95 load was maintained until no temperature increase could be detected for 5 minutes.
The MSI Dragon Center was used for fan control to set fan speeds of 25%, 50%, 75% and 100%.
Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360L Temperature …
As with the MasterLiquid ML280, temperatures remain within a very good range even at lower fan speeds. A very good temperature of only 62°C is reached at just 785 rpm, which drops to 58°C at a speed of 1685 rpm. This is a really excellent value. The fans don’t quite reach the 1750 rpm stated by the manufacturer, but are within the tolerance range with the achieved 1685 rpm.
Here are again all measurement results in a small table.
Cooler Master MasterLiquid 360L Sound …
The AiO can be heard from the system at 100% fan speed, but without becoming obtrusive. The Cooler Master water cooler reaches a noise level of about 27 dBA, which is completely within the manufacturer’s specifications.
The water cooling is so pleasantly quiet at fan speeds of 25% and 50% that you can definitely call it silent without affecting the cooling performance extremely. Turning the fans up to 75% or even 100% is rarely necessary since there is only a difference of about 4°C between 25% and 100%.
The pump is adjustable via the DC control of the mainboard. We test with 100%, since it is not controllable with many manufacturers. Hereby we ensure a better comparison. It is best to set the pump to one value, especially since most pumps nowadays are hardly noticeable even at 100% power.
Let’s now briefly look at the optical criteria of the AIO water cooling system.
