In this review we have tested the Antec Solution Series Cooler and measured the temperature results with our test setup. Additionally you can listen to an embedded MP3 fan sound sample of the fan on the respective heatsink.
Name | Antec Solution Series CPU Cooler |
|
Size over all L/B/H | +++ 63/63/47 mm The heatsink size isn’t bigger than the Sockel.
Cooling output | ++ 24,4 CFM (~5300 rpm)
Noise level | – 40 dB (A) I didn’t expect this noise from such a small fan, but it’s not too loud. Listen to the sound:
Mounting | ++++ They’ve decided to find a way how to mount and unmount the bracket without any tool and indeed they did it successful. This cooler have a big thumb latch which is very good arrested. It’s very easy to mount and unmount the heatsink and therefore this cooler gets the maximum available points !
Cooling results | +++ Nice cooling result. Only 41° C at 1,75 V and 45°C at 1,90 Vcore with my overclocked Duron 700@1066.
General impression |
+++ The 195 gramm lightweight from Antec have lot’s of rugged aluminium fins and is a full aluminium based heatsink with a bottom face like a mirror. And i think the really rugged aluminium fins do their best to get a cool CPU. May be a little bit more powerful fan with more than 30 CFM could push this cooler to the Top 10 coolers. But anyway a good result for such a small lightweight 🙂 This fan is also fit for using with Peltier Element ! Many thanks to Antec Pictures … |
