Our extensive Hercules P32 DJ and Hercules DJ Control Instinct P8 review showed that the channel and effect control of the P32 is far superior to that of the Instinct 8. The first one, however, costs almost 100 Euro more.
It’s obvious that the P32 DJ Controller is aimed more at an experienced audience and the DJ Control Instinct P8 is a cost-effective entry-level unit for everyone.
This doesn’t mean that the P32 is superior to the Instinct P8 in all respects. Especially the two jog wheels are a great addition and a big advantage of the smaller controller. Both wheels are painfully missed after a longer use in the P32.
Overall, we find that both units are definitely worth their money, perform their tasks flawlessly and, above all, are a lot of fun to use.
