The Icy Dock ToughArmor MB834MK-B V2 Mobile Rack for two M.2 NVMe PCIe SSDs impressed us!
The installation is quick and the workmanship of the extremely robust ToughArmor Mobile Rack and the quality of the Icy Dock MB323L-B SFF-8654 4i cables is really exemplary.
Icy Dock has not even spared the activity LEDs and elegantly routes them to the front.
Although the Icy Dock MB834MK-B V2 unfortunately does not yet offer a PCIe Gen5 connection, it utilizes the performance of the PCIe 4.0 x4 connection of NVMe PCIe Gen4 SSDs almost completely.
Nothing stands in the way of a problem-free change of M.2 SSDs with this mobile rack and thanks to the almost complete use of metal, the heat of the SSDs used is dissipated excellently.
All in all, the Icy Dock MB834MK-B V2 Mobile Rack and the Icy Dock MB323L-B SFF-8654 4i cable convinced us and even the inexpensive 10GTek PCIe x8 SFF-8654 4i adapter card showed no weaknesses. All in all, a good choice for fast and securely removable M.2 NVMe SSDs.
