Intel Core i7-12700K benchmark results …
Let’s start with the benchmarks …
Benchmark …
In order to get the best possible impression of the CPU’s performance, we have included various benchmarks in our course (Benchmark Download). We have listed them here:
Benchmark Tools |
CPU-Z Version 2.01.0 x64 |
PCMark 10 v2.1 |
3DMark TimeSpy v1.2 |
Unigine Superposition 1.1 |
CPU-Z benchmark results …
First of all, let’s read the Intel Core i7-12700K CPU’s data with CPU-Z.
We then immediately run a benchmark of the DDR5 system and get a pleasingly good result with 797.2 in the CPU Single Thread and 9460.9 in the CPU Multi Thread benchmark. An Intel Core i5-11600K, for example, achieves about 615 Single Thread and 4615 Multi Thread, an Intel Core i9-11900K achieves about 710 Single Thread and 6535 Multi Thread, an Intel Core i9-9900K achieves about 564 Single Thread and 5340 Multi Thread and an AMD Ryzen 7 3700X achieves about 512 Single Thread and 5537 Multi Thread in comparison.
PCMark 10 benchmark results …
The high system performance is also confirmed by the PCMark 10 benchmark, which reaches a proud 11802 points in our DDR5 test system (ASRock Z690 Taichi, Intel Core i7-12700K, PowerColor Red Devil RX 6750 XT, Kingston DDR5-4800).
And with our DDR4 test system (ASRock B660 Steel Legend, Intel Core i7-12700K, PowerColor Red Devil RX 6750 XT, Crucial Ballistix Max DDR4-4400) it still manages 11757 points.
But even the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 GPU is impressive and achieves a whole 6135 points with PCMark10 without an additional graphics card. In comparison, an ASRock Z590 Extreme LGA1200 system with Intel Core i5-10500 processor only managed 4659 points.
Gaming …
Let’s take a look at the gaming benchmarks, which provide an overview of the gaming performance.
3DMark TimeSpy benchmark results …
In 3DMark TimeSpy, our DDR5 test system with the Intel Core i7-12700K CPU achieves a high 14020 TimeSpy points.
And our DDR4 test system achieves a good 13867 TimeSpy points in 3DMark TimeSpy with the Intel Core i7-12700K CPU.
Unigine Superposition 1.1 benchmark results …
In Superposition 1080P Extreme, our DDR5 test system with the Intel Core i7-12700K CPU achieves a high 7320 points.
And our DDR4 test system achieves a good 7277 points in Superposition 1080P Extreme with the Intel Core i7-12700K CPU.
All in all, excellent results that have clearly improved compared to the previous Intel generations.
Now we want to overclock the Intel Core i7-12700K CPU a bit as well.
