Intel Core i9-14900K benchmark results …
Let’s start with the benchmarks …
Benchmark …
In order to get the best possible impression of the CPU performance, we have included various benchmarks in our course (see Benchmark Download).
Benchmark Tools |
CPU-Z Version 2.08.0 x64 |
PCMark 10 v2.1 |
Cinebench R23 |
3DMark TimeSpy v1.2 |
CPU-Z result …
Let’s first read the data of the Intel Core i9-14900K CPU with CPU-Z.
CPU-Z benchmark results …
We then run a benchmark on the test system and get a pleasingly good result of 963.9 in the CPU Single Thread and 17492.4 in the CPU Multi Thread benchmark. In comparison, an Intel Core i7-12700K achieves 797.2 in the CPU Single Thread and 9460.9 in the CPU Multi Thread benchmark, an Intel Core i5-11600K achieves approx. 615 Single Thread and 4615 Multi Thread, an Intel Core i9-11900K achieves approx. 710 Single Thread and 6535 Multi Thread, an Intel Core i9-9900K achieves approx. 564 Single Thread and 5340 Multi Thread. Also very interesting is the benchmark comparison with an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X CPU, which achieved around 788.0 single thread and 15793.0 multi-thread score and is therefore significantly lower than the Intel Core i9-14900K CPU.
PCMark 10 results …
The high system performance is also confirmed by the PCMark 10 benchmark, which achieved 9581 points on our DDR5 test system (ASRock Z790 Riptide WiFi, Intel Core i9-14900K and ASRock Radeon RX 5700 Challenger D 8G OC graphics card).
But even the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 GPU is impressive, scoring 6615 points with PCMark10 without an additional graphics card. In comparison, an ASRock Z690 Taichi LGA1700 system with Intel Core i7-12700K processor and Intel UHD Graphics 770 GPU only managed 6135 points.
Cinebench R23 results …
The Intel Core i9-14900K achieved 2319 pts at single core and 41567 pts at multi core in the benchmark test without overclocking with Cinebench R23 Benchmark. In comparison, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X CPU achieved just 2012 pts in the Single Core and 37332 pts in the Multi Core benchmark.
Gaming …
Let’s take a look at a gaming benchmark that provides an overview of gaming performance.
3DMark TimeSpy results …
In 3DMark TimeSpy, our DDR5 test system with the Intel Core i9-14900K CPU and the RX 5700 graphics card achieved a good 9275 TimeSpy points.
With the integrated Intel UHD Graphics 770 GPU, the Intel Core i9-14900K CPU still achieved 958 points in 3DMark TimeSpy without an additional graphics card. In comparison, the AMD Ryzen 9 7950X CPU achieved 803 points without an additional graphics card with the integrated AMD Radeon Graphics unit.
Overall, the Intel Core i9-14900K system achieves excellent results, which have improved significantly compared to the previous Intel generations and could even clearly beat an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X system with similar components.
Now we also want to overclock the Intel Core i9-14900K CPU a little.
