ASRock B650 Steel Legend WiFi AMD AM5 Motherboard Review

++++ The ASRock B650 Steel Legend WiFi motherboard is available in stores for approx. 250 Euro (04/2024) and is therefore in the middle price segment of AMD AM5 motherboards.

Thanks to the B650 chipset, all the latest interfaces are on board to form the perfect basis for a very good gaming PC!

Its M.2 slots, one of which is equipped with a PCIe 5.0 connection, DDR5, USB-C with 20Gb/s simply offer everything you could wish for in a motherboard. The drawbacks of the ASRock B650 Steel Legend compared to the ASRock B650E Taichi are relatively small and are hardly worth mentioning in most cases. The rest of the equipment is also hardly inferior to the B650E Taichi. 6GHz WiFi-6E AX, Bluetooth, 2.5Gbit LAN and a solid audio section leave nothing to be desired and ARGB has not been forgotten either.

The B650 Steel Legend WiFi can also keep up with the CPU power supply – 15 power amplifiers with 80A each for the CPU alone are more than enough for a solid gaming platform!

Thanks to the PCIe 16x interface, there are also no problems with high-end graphics cards such as the nVidia GeForce RTX 4090 or an AMD RX 7900 XTX.

In terms of price, the ASRock B650 Steel Legend is definitely an alternative to the significantly more expensive motherboards, which only have more and faster interfaces and require even more effort for the power supply.

However, if you are looking for a cheaper board, can accept the slight compromises in the USB interfaces and the power supply and still don’t want to miss out on very good gaming performance, you should take a look at this ASRock B650 Steel Legend WiFi!

With this good overall result, the ASRock B650 Steel Legend WiFi receives our OCinside.de Purchase Tip Award 04/2024.
