Layout, design and features …
First and foremost, the model is very inconspicuous, in a positive sense. The Philips logo is present, but in a discreet size. The narrow frame does not distract from the actual screen content, which is the focus for the gamer. In the overall view, the angular stand blends in very well and, ironically, hardly “jostles” with the other features. Bright colors, absurd shapes and a glossy surface are definitely not among the monitor’s features.
The back contains a recess for the various connections.
It is slightly more rounded to accommodate the technology such as the power supply. Four holes are provided here for attaching the stand. At the bottom left is a button that can be pressed and moved in four directions to adjust the monitor.
A close-up view shows a fine corrugation. The design of the TFT therefore appears somewhat more elaborate on the back.
The stand is much more solid than it looks in the pictures and can easily stabilize the monitor. Nevertheless, there is a generous recess in the middle.
Height adjustability and tilt angle can be easily adjusted and the monitor remains stable in its new position (only model 27E1N1300AE and not 27E1N1300A).
