Philips Evnia 34M2C6500 Monitor Review

Practical testing …

Installation …

We would recommend mounting the bracket while the panel is still in the box. Although the monitor is surprisingly light, it is somewhat impractical.

At this point, we find it practical that the holder is equipped with a clamping mechanism and does not require screws. The stand can then be tightened by hand using the usual screw.

Unfortunately, due to its size, you can’t expect a 100% stable stand. If you need this, you can use the included VESA adapter to mount the monitor on a wall or a monitor arm.

Without pixel errors …

Our graphics test showed no defective pixels, which is very pleasing.

Monitor menu …

The monitor menu is also sensibly structured and intuitive to use. Unfortunately, navigation using the stick is unnecessarily complicated. Classic buttons would have been a little better here, but everyone usually prefers other controls. Adaptive Sync, for example, is intended to compensate for the missing GSYNC function.

There are various setting options to adapt the image to many different applications.

Ambient lighting …

We were somewhat disappointed by the ambient lighting.

With monochrome images, the Ambiglow shows clear colors (the Ambiglow lighting wall can be seen on the left and the image displayed on the monitor on the right).

In games, however, the lighting is usually perceived as white.

Gaming …

In games, the Evnia is completely convincing, because not only the picture quality is simply great.

The high refresh rate and the curved panel are also impressive.

Even when displaying images, the monitor is able to reproduce colors …

… effectively set the scene.

This brings us to the end of our test. We would like to close with a conclusion.
